Change the order of my people listing

Hello,

Can you help me change the order of my people listing so that I can manually order the leadership team people page? We want it in order of rank, not by name.

You would need to use Draggable Views. This will allow you to set the order you display your people page.

Hello Amy,

You go to the leadership page, click the gear and select Order View. This will bring you to the sortable view. All you have to do is reorder the view and save. It should automatically update the view in /leadershipteam.

Hello Amy,

If you go to the view in http://dev.yygsbeijing.yale.edu/leadershipteam, click on the gear and the 2nd option should be order view. That should take you to http://dev.yygsbeijing.yale.edu/people-sorting?destination=leadershipteam. there you can drag the arrows and save. It should bring you back to the /leadership page with the view order you’ve configured.

The order view on this page isn’t saving what I manually change: http://yygsbeijing.yale.edu/people.

For example, Erin Schutte should be listed second and I should third.

The problem is the sort criteria still has the last name as a sort. I’ve made the first sort be the draggable view so it defaults to that one first and it seems to be working now.

I am trying to add the draggable view to our “2017 Speakers” page, but it is not working. I followed the instructions but I cannot seem to get the order view to work. Here is the page:  http://yygsbeijing.yale.edu/people/faculty/2017.

What have  I done incorrectly?
