How to upload PDF files

Hi,

I realize this is probably an incredibly simple task, but I cannot figure out how to upload a project report on our webpage, especially if I want an image as a preview where people can click on (instead of a link, but the uploading a file via a link did not work for me, either).

The file format would be a pdf.

Hello Anna,

You would need to enable the PDF Reader module. PDF Reader will render your entity file fields with the selected PDF renderer.

So, I’ve installed the module but it only give me the option when I create a basic page to put in the pdf name and URL. Where do I upload the pdf initially to, though? Shouldn’t there be an option for uploading it on the website itself and not an external server?
