YAAA Website - How do I manage the appearance of a website that was built by someone that no longer manages the site.

I am relatively new to trying to manage the YAAA website. This website was created and managed by 2 ITS professionals that are no longer at the university. Compared to our other affinity group websites, it is really hard for me to manage the appearance. For example, on the homepage, we would like the Upcoming Events section to show more than 3 events, and to show the event flyers. When I click on the Upcoming Events Block, I don’t see any content, so I’m not sure how the content is being fed to the homepage. I have the same problem with the Rotating Header Block.

Also, I can’t figure out the coding behind the other content that appears and takes over the homepage. How can this be managed? How can we make this website more user friendly to people who aren’t as familiar with Drupal?

Furthermore, how can we change the size restrictions for photos that are uploaded in the Gallery? This is the only website where I have had to manually resize every event photo before being able to add them to the website.

Please help! Is there an upcoming lab course that is being offered, or are there walk-in office hours where I can log on to the site and have a Drupal professional assist me with fixing the website issues?

Hello Marinda,

We recommend you first attend YaleSites Training. There you can learn the basics of how to edit your YaleSite as well as adding content and modifying content. In the course YaleSites Basics you will learn about the basic Drupal concepts and structures that are used to build a YaleSite. We recommend you start there. There is also Editing your YaleSite, which is a hands-on workshop with the focus on adding pages and changing/formatting content that already exists on your site. We can offer Office Hours, but as a pre-requisite you would have needed to attend YaleSites Training first to learn the basics.
