Workflow Notification Issue

Dear YaleSites team,

It seems our workflow notification system has broken during the migration from Acquia to Pantheon.

Our hierarchy is still in place, but no one is receiving notifications via email when actions are taken.

Would you be able to resolve this as soon as you can? We are about to begin a large content push for the fall and require this system in full working order.

Please find a direct link to our Drupal 7 workflow rules here: https://britishart.yale.edu/exhibitions-future#overlay=admin/config/work…

With thanks,

Ronnie

Hi Ronnie,

We suspect that we’ve identified the source of the issue, but we’re wondering if you could provide some more detailed information about the expected behavior so we can reproduce the issue.

If you could provide the exact steps in your workflow, and what emails are supposed to be triggered and when, that would be a big help to us. Linking us directly to the workflow in the site configuration is already a big help.

Thank you!

Zach

Hi Zach,

Happy to help.

We have six steps to our workflow, for which you may find the ideal configuration below. I believe our user profiles reflect the following arrangement too.

  • Save as draft: emails the content contributor and site administrators
  • Send for content review: emails the content contributor, editor, and site administrators
  • Send for design review (we often bypass this step): emails the content contributor, editor, and site administrators
  • Send for approval: emails the editor and site administrators
  • Publish: emails the content contributor, editor, and site administrators
  • Unpublish: emails the site adminsitrators

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Very best,

Ronnie

Hi Ronnie, I created a ticket for this issue and put some details there. Can you follow up to it if this is still an issue? Thanks.
