This week News thumbnails suddenly dropped in quality and delays for edits to be publicly viewable increased dramatically

Starting this week I have noticed two strange and persistent problems.

1) News thumbnails on our home page have dropped in quality to an extreme degree (the problem is particularly noticeable on the News page itself: http://psychology.yale.edu/news)

2) Admin edits to pages take much, much longer than I’ve ever seen to propagate to Public visibility. In other words, when i make a change to a page, the changes I see immediately as Admin aren’t viewable to non-logged-in visitors for many hours. As an example, here is a page I edited this morning as viewed in Admin and Public, first as Admin:
