View: Excluded field not being excluded PT2

Issue/Request:

Hi, Nancy tried helping me with this but in trying to figure out what she did, I am just now realizing that the link for the article dated May 8, 2015 is going to a page instead of the imported link. This should NOT go to the page but directly to the YaleNews article. Possibly the ‘Field Redirect’ is not what should be used here.

Hi JoAnn, You had YaleNews title listed and displaying. You don’t need that. The generic Title field will take care of that. I deleted the field. Don’t put it back and you’ll be ok :-)

I’m sorry but this still is not right. The page is not going directly to the YaleNews article page. I’m thinking because of the use of the ‘redirect module’. Am I right in that assumption? Does this view and the ‘in the media’ content type need to be reconstructed so it has more flexiblity? The YaleNews ALL Feed content need to go directly to the article on the YaleNews site NOT to a page within the President’s site.

I fixed this. The trouble was with the URL/external link field. I updated this field in the ‘YaleNews ALL Feed’ to be the same as the ‘In the Media’ content type’s field. The view seems to be working correctly now. =)
