Hi,

I’m trying to add a Twitter Block to my site. The module asks for a Widget ID, but as of June 7, Widget ID’s appear to have been phased out. https://blog.twitter.com/2016/embedding-twitter-timelines-just-got-a-lot…. How else can I get a Twitter Block? Thanks.

Hello Ashvin,

The Twitter Block module is still using the Widget ID and has not been updated since 2015. Based on the attached article and some research we’ve done, the Widget ID will still be available to those who need it, its just not required to add Twitter to your site. Unfortunately the module we are using does require the Widget ID so your site will need you to copy that from your widget in twitter.com.

Hi Josue - I have tried unsuccessfully to grab the widget ID for my twitter feed. Can you help me with that? I’ve been using the instructions from the web, but when I click on create new widget I just get a code for embedding without any “ID” info. This is for my DirtPol website at http://dirtpol.macmillan.yale.edu. Thanks!
