How do you enable the Twitter Block module?

Hi Erica;

First, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Carris Toupin and I am part of the of ITS, Campus Community Technologies group and I have been asked to assist you with your YaleSites Forum question(s).

Assuming that you have the Twitter Block Module in your Modules listing:

  • First: Click the Modules tab in the Admin tool bar (it usually takes awhile to load).
  • Second: Scroll down the list (I like to use the ‘find’ short cut) and locate the Twitter Block Module and click on the check box to the left of the title. Scroll to bottom of page and click save.
  • Third: Then follow the instructions here:  http://yalesites.yale.edu/module-tutorials/twitter-block

If you don’t have the Twitter Block Module in your Modules listing, you need to have your site refreshed with the latest modules here first:  http://yalesites.yale.edu/refresh-my-site

Make sure to choose the option:  Refresh my site with the latest modules

Then follow the instructions above.

Let me know how it goes and if I can be of any further assistance.

Best regards,

Carris

Regards,

Hi Erica;

It seems that Twitter changed how it generates a Twitter ID widget. The module has not been patched by Drupal for this change as of yet, but is in the works. If you need to get your Twitter feed up now, I suggest that you embed the code you got from Twitter in a regular block that you will have to create.

Let me know if this works for you.

Regards,

Carris
