trouble with adding new editors to sections

I just successfully added two new users, set to “Editor” roles to our site:
Lisa Erdeljon
William Nyarko
I then went into the Workbench to add them as editors to the Academics section, but when I try, their names don’t show up on the editors list: http://divinity.yale.edu/#overlay=admin/config/workbench/access/editors/…
The Academics section Editors list currently only shows three people: Lisabeth Huck, Rosyln Evans, and Alissa Kretzman
When I try to add Lisa Erdeljon and William Nyarko, everything looks like it adds correctly, but their names don’t show up on the Editors list with the other three. I don’t get an error message or anything like that.
Am I doing something wrong?

I was able to duplicate the problem. Can you try and remove someone from the list and see if it allows you to add one of the new people? I’d recommend trying it on Dev.

I just went into Dev and was able to add more than three people (the exact same people) to the Academics sections of workbench as editors.
I just went into our actual working site to the Academics section of the workbench. I removed Alissa Kretzman as an editor, then tried to add her back and it wouldn’t show her name. I wasn’t able to add any other names as editors to that section so it only shows as 2 editors now.
Though, I need to add that Alissa told me she does have correct access when she logs in. So I think the system is accepting my additions, it’s just not showing the additions.
Interesting. I’ll note that as I look into why this is happening.

Ha ha!!! I figured it out. I was about to post to here saying that I was still having the problem, but then I noticed where the error was.
The staffer who needed edit capabilities is our Dean of Admissions who doubles as a part-time faculty member. When she was added to the site originally, her whole profile was added as “People”, but not her CAS ID. I don’t know how, but that’s what happened. When I set up her user profile settings as an Editor, I used this profile as the base for those settings, but it didn’t have a CAS ID associated with it.
So when I had her log in with CAS, the system didn’t have that ID defined as any specific type of user.
I only noticed the CAS was missing on her profile when I went back and added her again using her CAS ID as the “add user”. That’s when I saw there were two profiles, her original one without CAS and the new one I just created with CAS.
All I had to do was delete the new one, add the CAS ID to her original profile and now the system recognizes her log in as the user settings I created.
