Topper region issue
Dear YaleSites Team,
Once again, on behalf of my project team, thank you for your expert assistance in helping me ready this website prototype for this Friday’s meeting at UNICEF.
There is one last issue as discussed with Nancy at yesterday’s Lab. As you know, ‘Yale University’ was removed from the left Topper region as this site is contracted to be a neutral site in that it will represent a global community of partners. In removing the hyperlinked university title (see 1st Rule, CSS Injector) the Search and submenu,Topper right, have floated to the left (live mode, not cas mode). My concern is that our Friday audience (that will have UNICEF webmaster and other communications personnel in the audience) may be distracted by this obvious misalignment. I attempted to fix it last evening, but to no avail. The left Topper needs to remain in place, but ‘Yale University’ png with hyperlink needs to be deleted. Do you have access to delete that a href w/ png file?
Thank you,
Shemrah
Hello Shemrah,
We do not have access to delete the files within the Drupal file structure. The best course of action is to use CSS to hide elements from being displayed. This could be caused by the Protected Node settings. we are look into this.
Josue
Thank you so much, Josue. I was able to schedule a short meeting with Nick this afternoon who may also be able to help. We did hide the logo while the site was in dev mode, but in doing so, the left topper also seemed to disappear. I believe I understood Nancy’s suggestion that the Yale logo be replaced with a blue rectangle that matches the topper background color. I tried to do it but did not succeed.
Thank you all so very much for helping me with these odd requests.
Shemrah
Hello Josue,
Nick had success in right aligning the topper, right side :) When I speak with him next, I will ask him how he did it.
Many thanks!
Shemrah
