Hello,

I am trying to set up the menu on our dev site http://dev.astronomy.yale.edu/, but the sub-menus (or dropdown flyouts) are not appearing. It only shows a black bar where the submenu should be. For example, Undergraduate Program should have a submenu under Undergraduate Research. There are other examples too, if you just hover over the dropdown menu.  Our working site has it set up the way it should be https://astronomy.yale.edu/#

Can I get some help with this?

Thanks!

Robyn

Dear Robyn:

Are you still having an issue with this? I’m seeing the menu and superfish menu (sub-menu) working properly.

Best,

Alyssa

Hi Alyssa,

No, this is still not working. There should be (I don’t know what the technical name is) fly-outs under certain menu items. If you check out the live Astronomy page (screen shot below), you’ll see what I mean. The live site has the fly-outs, but the dev site just has a black vertical bar.

I’m seeing it like this. Can you please grant me admin access? I’ve CAS’d in already, my netid is ad949

All set. I added you as Administrator.

Thanks!

Everything looks to be configured correctly, but I flushed the site’s cache. Could you try clearing your browser cache as well?

Still looking the same for me. I even tried a different browser (Explorer) I’ve been using Chrome.  I also tried this on my Mac over the weekend using Safari and it looked the same. I cleared the cache, and still nothing has changed for me. This is so weird! Could it be that this template was set up back in 2016 - have there been any updates? Do I need to have the site refreshed?

The site has the most recent themes and updates, but I was able to reproduce your issue on Safari and Chrome. The “slide-in” effect in the settings was set to Vertical so I changed it None and it is now working in those browsers. Can you confirm?

Hi Alyssa,

Yes, is is now working! thank you very much!!

Great! No problem
