Spacing and Fitting Custom Views to Content

To whom it may concern,

1. I recently added a calendar block to my homepage. However, the homepage now shows “Home » Calendar” in between the main menu bar and rotating header image. Shouldn’t it just say “Home” ? I also think there’s an extra space before the rotating header image … If you click “People” or “Religious Groups,” the space between the main menu bar and content is smaller.

2. I have a question on the custom views I use on these pages: http://dev.chaplain.yale.edu/religious-literacy/christianity, http://dev.chaplain.yale.edu/religious-literacy/christianity/non-denomin…, and http://dev.chaplain.yale.edu/religious-literacy/judaism. When a user clicks on a heading (ex. “Assemblies of God” on the Christianity page), the view does not fit to the content. Instead, it contains the content plus lots of blank white space. I think it might be using the height of the largest entry; however, that feature is turned off. One thing to note is that these custom views used to fit content before the agenda module was updated for my site. Can I make the views fit to the content again?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best,
Christian

Hello Christian,

Typically the breadcrumbs are removed from the homepage. This can be done by editing the Delta. Go to Appearance > Delta > Toggle Advanced Elements, then deselect Breadcrumbs. This should remove the breadcrumbs from the homepage. Alternatively you’d have to use Path Breadcrumbs to create custom breadcrumbs for the homepage.

The issue with the extra space in the collapsible views is a bug in the Views Accordion module. I’ve put in a request for an update to the module so that it resolves this issue. I will keep you posted on when it gets processed.

Thanks Josue!

You’re welcome Christian. Quick update. The patch for the views accordion module has been put in queue. It should be processed sometime over the next few days.
