Separate Sorting for News Block and News Page

Hi,

I’m currently trying to modify the view of the news block (in our case we renamed it into “speakers”, so don’t be surprised) for the front homepage, so that it is displaying the newest speakers while keeping the sorting on the “news” page in alphabetical order. Whenever i change the view of one (so news page or news block*), the other changes automatically with it.

How can I prevent this?

Hi Anna,

I checked you Speakers view, the problem was when you made the change for the ”news page or news block” you made it: For “All Display” so that is make the changes for all the views include pages and blocks.
in that case When you make any change in your views you should be make it For: “This block override” or “This page override” in that way you will save the information in other pages and blocks as they are.
