Rotator on front page missing

A student who was adding content to our site mistakenly clicked on something and the rotating photo display on front page of website disappeared. 

Here’s what he wrote:”It looks like, in making some style changes on the I-CSI website, I changed a setting for the home page rotating photo display, and now the photo display no longer shows up. I think on “content types” I checked off “news” (Professor Weaver wanted to add text to rotate with the photo display and describe each photo, and in trying to make that happen, I clicked the wrong thing). “

The rotating photos are in the Index and are still “published” but I can’t seem to get back on the front page.

Any suggestions?
