I wish to have the rotating feature on this site - http://dev.african.macmillan.yale.edu formatted so that the caption is on the right with a block of color behind it - similar to this site: http://oyc.yale.edu/  - how do I do this? I’ve been looking in the option set area of the flex slider configuration and don’t see any options for where the caption will appear ….

Lisa.

Hello Lisa,

That site is built in Drupal 6 so the options and design would not be available in our D7 installation. There is however a styling for the Rotating Feature that will send the caption to the right. I believe that the CSS class is caption-right. This needs to be added to the view under advanced. If you grant me access I can do it for you.

Josue

Thanks, Josue. Is there a list somewhere detailing all the css styling available for the YaleSites Themes 2016? I can add that style to the view, however, I will also give you permissions there (if you don’t already have them).

Lisa.

Hi again, Josue - I tried what you suggested and it isn’t working. Can you take a look when you get a chance? I did grant you access.

Lisa.

Its possible that its gone away with the new themes. Let me look into it.

Josue

Hello Lisa,

So the CSS class is not longer used in the new themes. We have an example of something Chao did for Green Chemistry. Let us know if that works for you.

Josue

That will work - can I make the “text box/area” smaller and blue?

Lisa.

I’ll pass this along to Chao to take a stab at it.

Josue

Hello Lisa,

This is all set. Give it a look.

Josue

I love it - thanks!!! Can I pester Chao to make the rotating banner area a little bit wider? See how the “opening” cuts off the bottom of the image? :-)
