Redirect from old site

A Faculty member pubished an article with a link to the website; that URL has been changed a few years ago from http://isps.research.yale.edu/research to https://isps.yale.edu/research . At the time we updated ourYaleSite, we set up a global redirect from http://isps.research.yale.edu to https://isps.yale.edu.   However, the http://isps.research.yale.edu/research is not redirecting to https://isps.yale.edu/research  and returns an error. This “link rot” is not acceptable as it is now part of the scholarly record. Please advise how to get the redirect to work. Thank you.
