pulling a backup

Issue/Request:
This site has been live for a while and needs some overhauling. I’d like to do that and show it to folks without it all being live.
I don’t find that there is a dev site extant for this, but I wonder how that can be? That was my first choice, to work on the dev site and leave the other one up.
When that didn’t seem to be a possibility, I put the site into maintenance mode, but I’d like to pull a backup of the site locally before I make changes so I can refer back to “the way it was” for comparison purposes with my stakeholders. I found instructions to “getting a site backup” but it seems to apply only to dev sites. Or at any rate, I don’t see “Site Backup” listed under Configurations > Development.
What should I do?
Thanks.

Hello Melissa,
We have provisioned a dev site for you and copied over the data from your live site over. You should now be able to work on your dev site and when you are ready to push your changes back submit another Go-Live Request. Just be sure to specify in the additional comments that your site is already live and you just want to push your changes to live.
Josue
Thanks so much, Josue.
Hi, again,
We’ve worked on the site and are now ready to take dev.ismcongregations.yale.edu live. Please remember that there is already a live version of the site (not sure if that matters). Many thanks!
Hello Melissa,
In order to push your changes to the live site you need to fill out a Go-Live Request.
