Problems with rotating feature

Hi, we’re hoping you can help with something that has taken us hours and hours of testing, searching, trouble shooting with no effect. We have created a rotating feature with 6 slides on the home page. We thought we followed the directions (but may have selected other values as we tested) and cannot get the caption (which are photo credits) to show up. Earlier in the process, the caption showed but the title, which we had deactivated showed as [title] and we don’t want that to show. What do we do with those?

Additionally, there’s a dark band at the bottom that we don’t seem able to remove, other than with CSS.

Finally, the images are linked, no matter what we select to deactivate the link…

Grateful for your help!

Hi Bjorn,

Does it look better now? I was playing around with the settings.

To change things with the caption styles it might work with .flexslider .views-field-field-caption .title, .flexslider .views-field-field-yrf-caption .title and .flexslider .views-field-field-caption .text, .flexslider .views-field-field-yrf-caption .text selectors

Hi Alyssa,

Thank you so much for your help with this! I did see it working but tried a CSS rule and while my attempts on a smaller font size worked at first, I could not get it back to where you had it, even when disabling the CSS. On responsive, the forward/back controls showed but I managed to dsiable that.

Would you mind taking a look at the following?

1. The caption/photo credits do not show on full screen. In responsive (see below) the caption/credits and the bottom right arrow controls now extend below the image in an unsightly way.

2. The images are linked to, as of now, nowhere but they are active. Can we disable the links? I have set link to “none” but it doesn’t take.

I appreciate your help with this!

Hi again,

we have tried everything — no matter what we do, it has no effect on the forward/back arrows or the position of the photo credits.

Best,
Bjorn

Hi Bjorn,

To add photo credits to the slides you’re needed to change the view format to Flex slider instead slideshow and add the caption content into caption field.

Super — thank you, Chao!
