Problem with Views operation “modify entity values”

I created a view here: http://divinity.yale.edu/alumni/unarchived-class-notes  to allow for batch edits of our published Alumni Class Note content type.

Currently, that page shows all Alumni Class Note content that is in “published” mode and not tagged as “archived”.  The operation I created as a “modify entity values” option is to change the checked content to be “Archived: yes”.

However, sometimes when I choose one of the class notes using the check box, go to the “modify entity values” screen, then move to the next conformation screen, it shows that I chose “0 items” and so no file is changed. At other times, the confirmation screen shows a different name than the file that I chose, so I just cancel the operation.

Basically, I’m just trying to get this to work right so my student worker can do big batch changes to all the Alumni Class Notes files and switch them to being “archived”.
