Problem with Editors Adding URLS to Blocks

URL for the site/page in question: http://leadadmin.yale.edu/ & http://ops-manager.yale.edu/

2 different Editors have come to me with the same issue. Both tried highlighting text within a block on their sites and making it a URL. The request times out and does not work and then freezes the page.

Any ideas why this is happening?

The two sites are:

leadadmin.yale.edu and ops-manager.yale.edu

Are they using IE? Its common for IE to cause WYSIWYG problems.

We have seen the same issue on Firefox, IE and on a Mac in Chrome and Firefox.

Hello Dana,

Based on the attached image we believe this issue is caused by IE11. I’ve also tested it on Multiple Windows browsers (IE, Firefox, & Chrome). The only browser that failed was IE. I’d recommend having the users verifying they have the latest browser versions and refreshing all browsers (Clear Cache & Cookies), then trying on Chrome or Firefox. I will also flush the site cache to make sure there is no cache data. Let us know how it turns out.
