Problem changing people type name

Issue/Request:

Hi, we’re trying to change the people type from “senior research scholar” in the people type. We’ve changed the link name, then the term name in the people taxonomy but for some reason, the heading on the page is still the old term. Is there a way we can remedy this?

Hi Bjorn,

This is using another field called People Taxonomy, so that would have to be added to the view instead of the default People Type.

I did try to add taxonomy in views but that field will then be at the bottom of the list of fields. What happens as a result is that it is in the “edit” part of the table.

Hi Alyssa,

We’re trying everything — i.e. Configuration — People — Account settings — Manage fields. We managed to add the Research Scholars people type and selected that (while unselecting the Senior Research Scholar). But there’s no resulting url active, i.e. …/people/research-scholars. We’re lost on this and the simple name/heading change is taking weeks. Is there a way to get this resolved faster? Can we meet with you guys to hammer this out?

I think that you need to edit the Dynamnic People Type Listing view page as well (with the new People Taxonomy field) since you’ve only edited the People Page view. So edit the view from this page https://dev.judaicstudies.yale.edu/people/senior-research-scholar

I appreciate that you’re trying to help but please note that after a week of working with this, what we’re saying is that this is beyond our capabilities. We need help. How can we resolve our request in a timely manner? I suggested a meeting. Is there someone at ITS that can perform this operation for us?

The reason is showing “Senior Research Scholar” is because under people type list the key was set called “Senior Research Scholar”. And also by changing people type name causing breadcumb, url path and side menu to break. I already go ahead helpped you adjusted breadcumb, url path and side menu.
