Problem with CAS user

Hi, someone (might have been me!) entered an email address for a user instead of netID as a CAS user a long time ago and as a result, we’re not able to change the roles (i.e. to an editor) of Veronica Tejeda (staff) to an editor. We have tried to add the netID, remove the original account, add her as a new CAS user but all fail. How can we fix this?

Hi, hoping for help with this user. She’s been entered with both her netID and her email as a CAS user and thus has two accounts. If we try and remove either, we get error messages (i.e. the email is already taken), so there doesn’t seem to be anything we can do to fix this…

Fixed. In the future you can enter in a fake email address for the account that is no longer needed so that you won’t get the error. Then update the account that’s going to be used.
