People page default to Faculty

Nancy Flowers-Mangs set up the History.yale.edu people page to default to just the faculty when clicking on the main menu “people” button. The side bar also includes the grad students, emeritus (etc.) menu where the other people can be found. Can you make this appear the same on the HSHM website?

Hello Denise,

That’s already setup in Drupal by default. All you have to do is tag the people in the right People Type and it should show up on the right.

Tat’s not what I mean. when we click the “people” button from the main menu I only want faculty listed going down the page. The sidebar menu will include all the different categories.

Hello Denise,

I’ve updated the menu to point to people/faculty. The menu on the left now shows all the available people type. They currently point to the page for all of the particular people type though some are not assigned. Once you add people to those people types they will show on the list. If there are People Types that are not in use, you can remove from the menu by selecting the gear in the top right of the side menu and selecting List Links. Then go to the People Type link you want to remove and uncheck to disable it from the menu so it does not show. I hope this helps.
