Page Sizing on Laptop

Hi,

Using a laptop and taking howardlab.yale.edu, for example, the home page cannot be viewed in full the same way it is viewable on larger external screen. Whereas on an external screen you can see the “preamble”, news block and image below, on a laptop the news block and image are cut off forcing you to either scroll to the bottom or manually zoom out.

In the creation of this new site, http://dev.qbio.yale.edu/, we are wondering if we can somehow customize the website so that the full home page is viewable on any sized laptop screen.
