maintenance mode access control and URL after Go live

I put my site into maintenance mode, but I can still access the homepage. I found another user had the same issue: http://yalesites.yale.edu/yalesites-forum/maintenance-mode-only-working-…

My second question is that once I submit the Go live request, will the site url change from dev.cryoem.yale.edu to cryoem.yale.edu automatically?

Hello Shenping,

When I go to dev.cryoem.yale.edu, I see the site in maintenance mode. Sometimes you need to flush the site’s cache so that you can see changes.

During a Go-Live we copy the website from the Dev (Development) environment to the Prod (Production) environment. This means that dev.cryoem.yale.edu becomes cryoem.yale.edu.

Yes. the maintenance message displays correctly now.

Once it is moved to Production, when I need to make changes, do I log-in through cryoem.yale.edu/cas , instead of dev.cryoem.yale.edu/cas ?
