Inquiry regarding linking information from two separate YaleSites

Hi.  I work for Wright Laboratory, which is a subset of the Physics department.  Wright Lab has its own website at https://wlab.yale.edu/; the department website is https://physics.yale.edu/.

Wright Lab has its own People directory, but all members of Wright Lab are also members of the Physics Department, which has its own People directory.  This leads to the same information being put in twice for each person when creating or editing content.

Is there any way to link our two sites (yet still keep them separate sites) such that we could have Physics create and edit all People directory entries and then we could somehow pull in that information into the Wright Lab site for those people who are Wright Lab community members, instead of creating a separate entry for each person for our site or having people edit two entries when they change information?
