Image size max of 1MB too small for rotating header image

The image file maximum size of 1 MB is particularly problematic for the rotating header image. I uploaded an image that is 978x180 pixels and less that 1 MB as instructed, but the image is extremely blurry. Is there a way to increase the maximum file size so that my header image looks better?

It looks like the image you used is only 13.78 KB which is much smaller than the maximum allowed file size of 1 MB. So translated, your picture is .01378 MB, and that is why it is so grainy. I would use a larger picture, crop it to the correct aspect of 978 px X 350 px to 180 px and then upload it to your site to get the best result.

As a reference, the stock images that come on the site are between 128.02 KB, and 90.56 KB. These are much bigger than your 13.78 KB image and they look pretty good. So I don’t believe that you need to increase the file size.
