HTTPS support to accommodate new safari requirements in iOS 10 and macOS next month?

Safari 10, which rolls out with iOS 10 and MacOS 10.12 next month, requires a secure (https) site for geolocation features, which greatly reduces the usefulness of our All Gender Restroom map (http://lgbtq.yale.edu/restrooms).

Is it possible for us to update our site to use https for geolocation, at least to retain this functionality?

Thanks!

Hello Andrew,

Right now we are not configured to run the site on https so the site would continue to show the map, but the Geolocation would stop working. An option would be to schedule a move of your site to Acquia Cloud and then put you behind https there. We’ll update you with more info about your options and scheduling.
