How to I limit the amount of text in news teaser?

I made a news content type and set it up so it will publish on the right hand side of my home page. How can I make the teaser limit the amount of text shown in the sidebar news event? Right now it flows all the way past the bottom of the page.

I fixed that for you, you can change it by:

edit the view>> ”Body” field>> Maximum length: enter The maximum number of characters this field can be. I changed the length from 150 to 100.

Can you give more details, because the body field you are used in “News and Events” view is Node.
