Granularity in Access Control Without Creating User Accounts

We would like to be able to set up access rules for pages/sections on our site, but without creating user accounts to implement them.

For example, we would like to set up an access rule, that says “When someone visits the site, check with ldap to see if they are in the Forestry School. If they are, let them view the page, if they aren’t, deny access”.

Is this possible / something you would consider implementing?

From our communications in this thread, I don’t think that removing and re-adding all students each year will work for us.
