Per below instructions, I have enabled the Google Analytics module, but I do not see the GA option under the Configuration>System. Please advise. Thx!

Configuring the Google Analytics module

First enable the Google Analytics Module in the Module listing:

  • Click Modules from the Administration toolbar, then scroll through the list to find the Google Analytics module, click the check box and Save.

Then:

  1. Select Configuration -> System -> Google Analytics from the Administration toolbar.
  2. Enter the UA code number.
  3. Click through the vertical tabs and adjust as desired.

That’s odd, I’ll set this as a BugFix. The option should be there and you should be able to just put the UA code in a field.

Hello Michael,

I’ve disabled & re-enabled the module and its showing up now. Take a look.

Thanks Josue. I have configuration the option. Having not done this before, what is the next step here to understand how this works?

I am accommodating a faculty member who supplied me with an ID code ahead of time. Does this mean he has already registered his page for separate tracking, and can access reports without my assistance?

Thank you.

You’re welcome Michael,

He should have given you a UA code (UA-XXXXXX) which is what the module uses to link to the Google Analytics account. To access the Analytics data you need to have access to the Analytics account. You should provide him a Gmail account for him to add you and then you can see the data by going to google.com/analytics. If he’s going to have sole responsibility for the analytics then he can access them through google.com/analytics.
