I am unable to upload our favicon. I have tried to upload from the theme settings. It is “saved” but never changes.

Just to clarify, when you say that the favicon isn’t changing, are you saying that you’re able to upload the file and save the changes, but the updated favicon isn’t displaying in your web browser?

Since you’ve added the image, have you already changed the setting that determines whether your current theme uses the default favicon?
You can access this setting by going to “Appearance>>Delta”, clicking the “customize” link for your current theme, and under the first menu tab (“grid settings”), scrolling down to the bottom of the menu to the section labeled “Shortcut Icon Settings”.
Make sure the box “use the default shortcut icon” is UNCHECKED. You can then upload the desired favicon, or paste the filepath of an already-uploaded image.
Once you’ve saved these settings, check to see if the desired favicon is appearing in your browser. If not, clearing your browser cache might fix it.
