Editing a Basic Page - text appears strange

I need help editing a basic page - the body includes text like <div>&nbsp;</div> and I’m not sure how to edit it.

I’d like to add additional content to the basic page (our newsletter page).

Edit your page>> in the bottom of the body field there is “Text Format” select Filtered HTML.
