Custom Block Disapearance

I tried to add an alias for the page, http://sustainability.yale.edu/buildings#overlay-context=buildings, the alias would have been http://sustainability.yale.edu/buildings. However, when I created the alias, the block that contained LEED Card Content on this page has disappeared. This block and content type were custom designed.

Hi Sarah Jane;

I fixed the View-Block that had disappeared. Take a look at how it appears now to make sure that the content appears as you want it to.

This is what I believe happened:

When the URL alias was made, the block called ‘View: LEED Buildings: Buildings Block’ did not have the new path to send the information to the alias that was made.

This is how I fixed it:

  1. Admin Menu Bar, Structure >
  2. Blocks >
  3. Scroll to name of block, (in this case, ‘View: LEED Buildings: Buildings Block’) >
  4. at the right hand side of that blocks row, click configure >
  5. in the configure overlay, scroll down to the bottom vertical tabs and click Pages (if it is not already showing) >
  6. Under ‘Show block on specific pages’  the radio button for ‘Only the listed pages’ is checked >
  7. So I added the new URL for the page that you want the block to appear on, planning-progress/campus-projects-action/buildings/sustainable-building-design >
  8. Click Save Block at the bottom of the overlay.

Please remember that if you change the URL for that page with an alias, you must put the new path in the block as I described above in order for it to show up.
