Hi, we need to change http://yisap.yale.edu to http://archaia.yale.edu. Do we have to request a new site or can this be done a different way? How long would the redirects (from the old url) be in place?

Hello Bjorn,

You’d have to Request a YaleSite. When the site has been provisioned, we’d have to copy the existing site over to that new URL and then create a redirect from http://yisap.yale.edu to http://archaia.yale.edu.

Thanks, Josue. I have made the request, though I’m not sure I made the correct selections in the form. I specified Noel Lenski as the site owner, but I am the person to make the transition. I’m copying in the note I enclosed, just in case there’s anything I’m forgetting. Again thanks for you quick help!

Note: This is a request for to change the url for http://yisap.yale.edu. As per Josue’s instructions, we’ll have to first request a new site and then the content will be moved over. Though I have specified Noel Lenski as the site owner, I (Bjorn Akselsen, bjorn.akselsen@yale.edu) will be overseeing the transition and continue on with web updates. As such, I’m not sure I have made the correct selections above. The site is built using a template with custon CSS. Please assure that all the permissions transfer over and communication directed to me as I will be in charge of the proicess. We will also need a redirect.
