Issue/Request:

This is more a question for once the site is already live. Are there any problems with changing the theme while live? And if you do change the theme and, for example, sidebar blocks are removed, what happens when you return to the original theme you used? Do these blocks return to the sidebar?

Hello Stephanie,

All blocks are assigned to Regions. If you take a look at any of your blocks, it gives you an option to set the Region on all themes (Yale Standard, Yale Wide, & Yale Boxed). Just be make sure that all your blocks are assigned to the same region on all three themes and if/when you decide to change the theme, the blocks will show in the right place. keep in mind that if there is any custom CSS in CSS Injector or elsewhere, it might disrupt the display of some of the content.

If you should change a theme and decide to change it back to the previous, the blocks should remain in place providing they were not moved before the theme change.
