I would like to change the current view (/events-calendar) events listing page* to become a block so that I can insert contextual information above the view. Is this possible?
Alyssa DeChiaro on November 1, 2018:
Hi Ryan,
You should be able to add the same information above the current view as is, but to create a block you have to click on “Add” in the view, and select “Block” and then configure it with the same fields and settings as the view page.

Add another “Global: Text area” field in the Header section of the view (the middle column of the edit view page), and you can add the text you want there.
