Change URL linking to taxonomy/tag terms

Hello YaleSites team,

Please instruct me on how I can change the URL of the terms listed in the ‘Browse by Category’ block on the Events page. For your background information, I’ve gone in to change URLs in that view so URLs and page titles, etc., will be consistent: I’ve changed ‘calendar’ to ‘events’ and have removed ‘upcoming events’ from the URL path. I would prefer being told how to do this than someone doing it for me.

Would you mind walking me through exactly what you did to get to this point in greater detail? I understand the broad strokes of it, as you wrote in your post—You changed the url path structure for the “browse by topic” views, and now the links no longer work—but I’m still not entirely clear on how you did that.

Once I understand how you did this, it will be easier to help fix it. I appreciate any additional info you can provide.

Hi Zachary,

Thank you for responding so quickly. I went into the view and made the adjustments I mentioned. Can you tell me where the settings are for the taxonomy/tags or is that configuration something that is ‘baked in’ (I know there are some configs that may not be able to be changed).

I have my own development site and this is working there: http://dev.jo.yale.edu/calendar. The changes I made in ‘dev.women’ are pretty much the same as what I did in my dev site.
