Can’t set a user to proper edit capability

I have a department head who is also faculty, who I’m trying to give edit capability for her department pages (Admissions, Financial Aid, Prospective Students).

I’ve set her as an “editor”, but when she logs in she doesn’t get the black horizontal tool menu across the top of her browser. She also doesn’t see any edit tabs.

I went over different possible problems including having her log in on my computer to see if it was her browser or OS (it’s not).

Any idea why she can’t get edit access?

Editor permissions on you site does not give the ability to see the Administration menu tool bar that you are speaking about (the black bar at the top of the page). I am not sure what permissions you need to give her, but maybe we should speak via phone call so I can get more details and help you get her set up properly. My best guess from your posting is that we might have to create a separate set of permissions for her to only be able to edit the department pages that pertain to her. Let me know when a good time to call you is and what is the best number to call you at.
