Can a content entry image be made responsive?

if you have an image field as part of a content type, and you intend to link directly to the content, is there a way to have the image be responsive? I have tried playing around with the settings and making the image field it’s own block, but have not yet had success.

It was just a matter of changing the image style. I changed it to adaptive and it’s now resizing when you change the screen size.
