Suddenly not being able to edit or delete pages- message “Alias is already in use” pops up.

I just tested the site and I was able to edit and create a simple page. Can you be a little more specify which page you try to edit or what page you try to create that gives this error message?

The issue was with upcoming event page. Another person was able to edit it, as we needed to change information immediately. It seemed to be a problem with my role, and not with the page. If it repeats, I will let you know.
