Alias is already in use
Hi, one of the sites adm (Jennifer Weintritt) is having problems saving changes made to our calendar. Please see below. In looking over the permissions list, I see that she is listed twice, once with her user name and once with her email. I’m wondering if that is the cause but cannot delete the second account (with the email) as I’m getting the following error message when I try: The e-mail address jennifer.weintritt@yale.edu is already taken.
Can you please look into this?
“I’ve recently been getting an error message when I go back to edit certain events on the Archaia calendar. Whenever I try to save changes or even delete the event and start anew, I get the message “Alias is already in use.” What is this and how do I avoid it? It tends to happen for events where there is a duplicate that I didn’t create.”

I’ve gone ahead and removed the account with the email address. She should be all set now. Can you have her test and confirm everything it back in order?

Hi Josue, thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately, the problem still persists for Jennifer. I’ve copied her email below. Perhaps deleting her remaining account and creating a new one would help?
Unfortunately, no, it’s still not working. And, what is also strange, I can’t log in at all on Chrome right now (I normally use Safari). Chrome tells me my login credentials can’t be authenticated. Could that be related?

I’ve removed her account. You can go ahead an add her again by adding CAS user and granting her only 1 role. If she is an admin, then there is no need for any other roles as Admin does everything the other roles do.
