adding speaker series to calendar

I am trying to add a speaker series to my website calendar. I added different event dates by simply clicking “Add Another Item” under “Event Item,” but I’d like to associate each day with a different speaker. How can I do that?

Hi Pratima,

I believe you are trying to add a field to your content type, which is in this case is the Speaker (field) and you will add it to your calendar (which is your content type).  Here are the instructions: 

On your tool bar :

Go to :  Structure  -> Content types  -> calendar 

then you will click on  Manage Fields 

Scroll down to the bottom , where you will see an Add New Field Option

in which you will type ” Speaker ”

                                   Under Field Type , Carefully choose Text option   (which is the last option) 

Then at the end of the page , click save 

Then again click on save field settings 

You can add any instructions for later reference to the help text field, if needed 

Click on Save settings and that should be your last step.  

Once you are finished, when you add a new event again, you will notice the speaker field at the end, in which you can add the name of the speaker.
