Hello YaleSites team,

I oversee the YaleSite located at http://encounterschinese.com/, which corresponds with a Chinese-language learning series that we publish at Yale University Press. I’d like to try to install a Chinese character quiz and animation tool by the company Wenlin, but first I need to install two Javascript files on my site. These files available to download at the link below, and they are called cdl-utils.js and cdl-utils-ui.js.

Would you be able to download these Javascript files and install them on the http://encounterschinese.com/ website? We would be able to write the code to reference and display the character animations and quizzes, as described here: https://wenlincdl.com/docs/basic-usage. We just need your help installing the files themselves, since we don’t have access to the server on which the site is hosted.

Thanks very much, and please let me know if you have any questions!

Tom

Hello Thomas,

For this you can try the JS Injector module. This will allow you to add the contents of the js files into Drupal. Alternatively there is no way for us to add the files to your Drupal site. Here are some instructions. https://swsblog.stanford.edu/blog/module-day-js-injector.
