Our staff directory page: http://library.medicine.yale.edu/about/staff consists of a View which includes staff photos.  Currently the images do not include alt tags which makes this page inaccessible/in violation of ADA. Is there a way to configure the View so that it includes alt tags for the images?

Hi Andrew,

I just had a look at the staff directory page and can see from the inspector tool that you, or someone else, figured out how to enable the alt text field? I’m seeing alt text names in the code for several images. Apologies for the delayed response.

Kudos for making your site more accessible!

Here’s another bit of accessibility information you may find useful going forward. Since the images on the departments & staff page are described in text fields, that is, the names are right next to the images, you don’t need alt text.

If there is anything else I can assist you with, don’t hesitate to reach out.

yup, I figured it out!  I apologize for forgetting to return to close the ticket.  Thanks for getting back to me.
