Acquia: unable to contact the Apache Solr server

Hello Yalesites,

Symptoms

I have hit a roadblock it seems with Acquia.   I can’t reach the search server now.      Today I saw this message: “It seems you only have 1 Acquia Search index. To find out if you are eligible for a search core per environment it is recommended you open a support ticket with Acquia.”   Well, I’m not sure I can do that with a free account, and I’m not excited to do that.

Background

I created a free account,  using my michael.slattery@yale.edu email.   I created an environment.  The product key is ‘HMTV-146587’ for that environment.

I was trying to help another project, and so I created another environment and put that product key into another YaleSite’s configuration, using my account.   No flags went up on the Acquia side.

To simplify things,  I got rid of the second environment, refreshed my connector but nothing has changed.   I am now stuck.

The Goal!

To create a Yalesite dedicated to faceted search, to serve all of the sites Forestry is hosting on Yalesites.     I’m happy to do this in a federated fashion or create one central index as long as I can isolate per site and still sync up taxonomies, content types, etc.

I need to know to whole cycle here.   Do I need a new Acquia account for each yalesite that wants an index?       What needs to happen to get Acquia to understand we are under the Yalesites account once we create an index?    Should I have reported to you my account or Product Key right away?    If it is better to meet in person I am eager to do that.   (I wish I could have attended the Drupal conf in March but I had to deliver one yalesite that day!)

Thanks in advance,
Mike
