DEV issues

Hi, earlier this year we had classics.yale.edu refreshed into dev. We have been making tweaks and explored how we can adapt the 2013 version to the 2016 wide template. Just recently we have received approval to start the work in earnest.

But yesterday we found that all our tweaks and explorations in dev had disappeared. Gone were the 2016 wide specs, the disabling of the custom CSS, and all content blocks were disabled so n o content is visible. We don’t understand how this can happen and wonder if there’s a way to get back to where we were…

We are concerned that as we start the migration, our work will be lost. As we start working in dev, we’ll have to have the old, paralell, live, site that will see many updates while we complete the new site in dev. How can we best get the freshest live site content into the dev site without disrupting all the structural work (modules, css, etc) we have done when it’s time to go live?
