News Page Malfunctions
The Agrarian Studies News page does not work as a normal Drupal news page. Someone previously edited it so that all news appears as one basic, scrolling document, rather than the separate, clickable articles that characterize a normal news page. Whenever I attempt to add news through the “add content” feature, though it claim to be sending it through the same News path. The news I add is techincally on the site, but only accessible through the “find content” feature, or by specifically typing in the URL. I would like to be able to have a normal, functional news page. Additionally, another page administrator created a second News page, entitled “News & Events” probably to try and remedy the issue. However, this page just takes you to the other news page. Both of the links are in the menu, redundantly, but I cannot delete either. The only option I have on “List Links” is to reset the pages. Please help.
Dear Kelsey:
In looking at the site, I noticed that there are no News articles created (I went to Content and filtered by News). The content on the site was created on one basic page all in one body field. You would have to create each of those items as a News content type and then a view will populate. I disabled the “News & Events” menu item so now there is only one.
Best,
Alyssa
Dear Kelsey:
It looks like you will have to create both News and Events nodes since that basic page contains both types of content. This will populate the News and Calendar views. Let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Alyssa
