Hi YaleSites team,
I was following your tutorial instructions for inserting a block and I am a bit confused because I do not see “the following code” that is referred to in the instructions on http://yalesites.yale.edu/module-tutorials/insert-block.
- Insert the following code into the location of your page and adjust it to point to the block.
– where name of module is the name of the module that created the block i.e. views
– delta of block is the machine name discussed in the section above i.e. portfolio-block_1 .
I followed the link to the drupal.org and found but clearly I am missing something.
Can you please tell me what more I need to do to enable a block tag so that it displays the contents of my block?
Thanks
Hello Erin,
Do you have the URL of the page and the name of the block you are trying to insert? It should just be a matter of inserting the following code: block:views=portfolio-block_1, with [ & ] around it.

I think its because the /people/postdocs is a view page instead of a block. You’d need to create a block that displays the same info.I Put a block in there now. When you’ve created the block, just update the block_1 designation with the name of your block. Most likely will be like block_2 or whatever your block is called. To get that info hover over edit or the block tab to see the URL.
