Adding html to event title field

Hello,

I was wondering if it was possible to be able to add HTML formatting to some of the text in the event titles in this summary calendar view. Right now, if I add <i>,<i/> in part of an event title, the html code shows on our events page, but actually works in formatting the text in the single event page that is accessed by clicking on an event link. I tried to use the “Customize Field HTML” in Style Settings, but that only works for our large header text formats, which are too much unwieldy for the page. I was hoping it could work for our default “paragraph” format style as well. Because we often have major musical works as titles for events, and it would be especially helpful to be able to italicize them in the summary listing.

I realize adding HTML to these fields might be a security issue. But if there were a way to only allow the tag for italics, it would be a real boon.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello Stephen,

I’m not sure Views would support that functionality. Do you have the URL to an event that has special characters in the title? I’ll take a look.

Hi Josue,

Here’s a site where it would be useful to have “Christmas Oratorio” italicized in the title, as well as in the listing on the general events page. You can see in the boxy of the Event Descriptions that we have “Christmas Oratorio” italicized in there. If I put the HTML in for the event title, it would show up here in italics, but the code would show in the events page general listing.

Hello Stephen,

I’ve enabled the HTML Title module which did the trick. Give it a look and let me know if that’s the functionality you were looking for.

Josue

Dear Josue,

This was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks so much for taking care of this.

Best,

Stephen
